Hello. I received payment on an item. It is one of the EIS purchases, so the item is to be shipped to the Glendale warehouse. Everything looked OK until I purchased the shipping label and the state was missing from the shipping label. Because I use a QR code I thought I’d better void this in case I could not manually update it and so that I could ask the buyer to update their shipping information. Once I had purchased the initial shipping label, the eBay clock to ship is ticking, even though I voided the label. Yikes!
My first question is, is there a way to undo the void and use that shipping label so I keep the same tracking number and can quickly ship out the item? Or, if I have to purchase a new label, which seems to be the option with “reprint label,” what are the chances I would be refunded for the unused first label? I’d like the buyer to get their item and it looks like they have updated their shipping information. Thanks for any hints or tips.

No, sorry once you’ve voided a label it can’t be undone. You’ll need to purchase a new label and get a new tracking number. “Reprint” only reprints the label you voided.
Refunds for voided labels takes approximately 2 weeks.
Why do you need the buyer to update their shipping information? You ship to the address shown in the order details. Any change in the address could void your seller protection.

Ah, ok, thanks for the heads up, @ebooksdiva .
The buyer included city only, not city and state for United States address.

I think that would be ok to adjust.

I always thought if a voided label was actually used, the refund would just be denied. Having said that, though, it seems the state would be important. Was the zip on there?

Generally you just use the label and then USPS does Not void it thus no refund. The difference here tho is you stated you use QR codes and if voided by you than at the post office the QR code will not print. That's been my experience. If you can print somewhere just go ahead and use it so you don't get a defect.

Your reply is incorrect. You can use a voided shipping label if it has not been refunded by USPS yet. You must printing tho and not try to use as a QR code

Hello, @fern*wood , yes, the zip was on there. It seemed to be addressed correctly … except for state. It is my first time shipping to an eBay domestic hub for an international buyer.

Thanks, @pooh333piglet . I am going to see if I can access the label. I will keep you posted.

Just as a note, an international buyer puts in their own address, not the US address so it is eBay that puts in the warehouse address.

Hello! I was able to print the label and ship that way. The package was received at the shipping hub. Thank you, all, for the support!
