Unable to open case. Estimated date passed.

So im trying to open a case for a package that was never even shipped. The latest estimated delivery date was January 4th, 2020. It is now currently January 5th, 2020 and the site will not let me open a request. Whenever I select "my item hasn't arrived" it just says "your item may still be on the way, wait until estimated delivery date has passed" which it clearly says is 1/4/2020 and it is clearly 1/5/2020 right now.

I believe that it’s based on Pacific time so it may not have been the 5th there.  If it still won’t open now, I’m sure that it will in the morning,

@calgr-6720,

Have you received any tracking information for the item? If you have and it shows the item is in transit that could be why ebay is asking you to wait.  Also ebay is on California time and when you posted this it may not have yet been the 5th in the Pacific time zone.

If this was an international purchase the estimated delivery date (EDD) may be off because of the two recent holidays. Also the EDD is not always based on the shipping service's stated delivery times. It is based on the usual length of time it takes for the seller's items to be delivered. At the time you tried to file the dispute, it may not have yet been after midnight Ca. time so that is why they wanted you to wait.   Since it is Now Sunday and not a business day, you may want to wait until Monday night or longer before filing a dispute. You do have 30 days from the last EDD to file an INR dispute through ebay.

@calgr-6720,

I should have checked before posting earlier, but if this is about the item you left the negative for, You do realize you bought the item after business hours on the 21st a Saturday, so the first shipping day would have been Monday the 23rd, and given a short day and a postal holiday on the 24th and 25th, then 4 more non-business days since then added to a still heavy holiday shipping load with returns and late purchases, you could have a little more patience.

Ya I could have more patience, except when I have multiple, multiple other packages that I've ordered that were shipped before, during, and after the holidays and all moved along just fine, being updated constantly along the way, and we're delivered. But the package I sent the negative for i i order AFTER some of the other packages that were we're coming across the country and still made it here faster. The tracking for this particular package completely stops all updates 5 DAYS AGO while ALL of my other packages moved along perfectly fine and we're delivered. I've got screenshots of my other packages tracking to prove it, so I think im perfectly justified in being a little worried and upset.

Attached pics of tracking from my other ordered, all being updated  Before, DURING, and after the holidays. But my package that I left the negative for hasn't had updates in 5 days.

Screenshots of my other packages moving along PERFECTLY fine before, DURING and after the holidays. The same time I ordered the package I left the negative on. But the package I left negative on hasn't had an update in 5 days!

Then this package.... No updates for 5 days. Put in 2 lost mail requests through USPS and STILL nothing.

Which by the way when I call USPS they say this package never officially has an ACCEPTANCE SCAN and they told me that means it never shipped

As you can see it just says "USPS expects item for mailing" then never updates. Meaning it was never accepted by USPS

Oh check it out another package I ordered after the one in question that moved along fine during the holidays, was updated constantly, and is going to be delivered today! 🙂 But the package in question was supposed to be delivered 6 days ago and hasn't had updates since... Hmm.

And when I showed all this to my seller and asked for help figuring out where the package is, he called me a spoiled brat and said he wouldn't be talking to me anymore and he didn't care that I didn't get the package... Soooo ya dude I left a negative review, wouldn't you have?!

It doesn’t show an acceptance scan but it does show in Transit to the next facility looks like it missed an acceptance scan but that it is in the Usps hands to me.  Sometimes packages can miss getting an acceptance scan.

Sorry, this whole thing has just got me so upset. I spent $165 on this item and it never had an acceptance scan, was supposed to arrive on Tuesday, and now hasn't had a scan or update in over 5 days.. 😞 just really stressful and I suffer from anxiety and pannick attacks 😞
