Unable to Select Standard Envelope for Trading Cards under $20

First time Seller

Could someone tell me why I can't print out the label for Standard Envelope for Trading Cards under $20?

I believe I had the correct categories selected. The shipping option in the listing was Standard Envelope for Trading Cards under $20, somehow it is now different after it was sold.

This is what it says under the option:

Items in this category and price range are not eligible for eBay standard envelope.

Up to 3 ounces with maximum dimensions of 11-1/2 x 1/4 x 6-1/8 inches

Update from Customer Service:

You cannot list items at 3oz and combine shipping if a Buyer buys more than one item. The combined weight will be over 3oz and become ineligible for Standard Envelope for Trading Cards under $20.

No problem. After the sale, when you go to print the shipping label, change the package weight back to 2 or 3 ounces.

What's happening is you have two cards listed at 2 oz. When they sell together, the system thinks the package weighs 4 oz., which is too much for Standard Envelope. Change the weight back to 3 oz or less and you're good to go.

Not necessarily true, I too am receiving the error "Items in this category and price range are not eligible for eBay standard envelope" even for single sale items with the weight of 1, 2, or even 3 ounces.

You should check on whether your item was listed in one of the special eligible categories. You can find a link to the complete list of eligible categories here:

Yes, that does seem to be the problem, although if the item fits and meets requirements, why does the category matter at all?  That's not up to Ebay.  Yet they always provide the option to use USPS Media Mail even though the requirements set forth by the USPS are even stricter!
