Ultra-high value item shipping and payment methods?

Not mine and of no interest to me but came up in a search. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audemars-Piguet-Royal-Oak-Offshore-Tourbillon-Titanium-44mm-26387IO-OO-D002C...  Quarter million dollar watch. What is the Paypal fee to the seller for that? Does any credit card let you charge that much? And isn't the seller taking a big risk with Paypal and all the scams buyers can pull?

That seller has several watches listed for $100K+, but has never sold any. Some have been listed for over a year.

When the item is priced that high I am guessing the seller wouldn't have to move volume. I will be happy with couple of thousands in sales.

For that much money I assume the seller could fly out and deliver personally, but then no Paypal seller protection.

Why would the seller need seller protection? He would collect cash when he delivers the watch. So what he would need is a couple armed friends by his side....

Listing says Paypal is accepted. Seller required to take Paypal payment even if local pickup.

Not necessarily. That high amount is most likely way too high for paypal so paypal payment may not even be possible even though its been specified.
