Sorry if this was already discussed. I have not shipped since last week. Just printed a label and noticed this alert. I will continue using the USPS service but hope things get better. I like the option of having small packages picked up from home. I always reward my mail carrier. If I have more than a few I drop off myself.
Living in a very rural area I can't imagine using other services. I wonder what the best option is right now?

I got the same message in person yesterday from eBay customer service, as well as when I went to purchase shipping labels through eBay, Apparently the new postmaster general's attempt to cripple USPS is causing lots of headaches for eBay, My customers report more misdeliveries than usual, tracking that is less accurate than usual, and items which get "stuck" in one sorting station for over a week.
Like the OP, I will stick with USPS and hope that things will get better after January 20 next year. Many of my items sell for less than $20 including shipping, and weigh two or three ounces. USPS First Class packages provide a tracking number and usually cost less than $3. I am not aware of any alternative that can match that price.

We are in a small town so USPS is really the only choice for us. I just won't drive around town chasing another service truck down to take my package because to arrange for a pickup is a separate fee. Ebay doesn't pay for that. Andrew
