USPS lost package request???

Does anyone else have problems getting the USPS website to accept a lost package requst?

My local USPS delivery person is so incompitent that most of the time when a package is listed as "delivered" to my locked parcel box, it never arrives becuase they just didn't feel like delivering it, or dumped it off at the wrong adress. This has become a chronic problem now.

To make matters worse, everytime I go the USPS website to fill out a lost package form, (we're talking over a year now) I get a "sorry, try again later" error response.

I've tried everything with my browser security settings, and nothing works.

Is this the way their website works, just "sorry, try again later"???

Re: USPS lost package request???

While it's not uncommon to run into errors sometimes, I can't say I've run into that specific problem repeatedly for the past year.

That said, you may want to walk into your PO, ask to speak to the postmaster about the problem if it's consistent. You can also have them check the GPS coordinates on the delivery scan.

Worst case: if service doesn't improve you can always get a PO box for deliveries.

I gotta have more cowbell.

Re: USPS lost package request???

Thanks for the help, I already have a parcel locker at my neighborhood community cluster box, but I can see how a P.O. box would help avoid the incompetent lazy idiot they have (not) "delivering" mail in my area.
