Some of my packages aren't getting scanned. I went to my local post office this morning (Jacksonville, Fl) and they told me they aren't scanning any packages they are just pushing them through. So, don't worry too much if you don't see any scans. One I shipped a few days ago didn't show any scans until it got to the buyers city today.
Also, on one package when I check tracking on ebay it shows no movement but when I click on the tracking number or track through USPS I do see movement. I don't think tracking is updating on ebay's end.

Tracking on eBay can sometimes appear on a 24 hour delay from what you see on USPS.
If your PO is not scanning packages I suggest filing a complaint:

One option you might consider is using a scan sheet. If you purchase using bulk labels you can generate a scan sheet, and having to scan one barcode might be what's needed for you to get your carrier or PO clerk to scan.

Yeah I shipped stuff in Arizona on Mon and on Tues... same post office and nothing is scanned. Its a little concerning since its Wed night.
Also one of the packages was going to Phoenix (where I am) which is about a 15 min drive... and thats still not updating. That one was on Monday

If your USPS office is refusing to scan your parcels, then why don't you print out an end-of-day USPS scan sheet. That way, the USPS clerk only scans the sheet & all of your parcels will receive an official scan. It saves the USPS clerk a great deal of time & of course a bit more happier. 🙂 If they refuse to scan the scan sheet, then ask to speak to the USPS Post Master for that office. Even your local USPS carrier most times than not is willing to scan the scan sheet vs scanning dozens of parcels. As an ebay seller, you need those scans to keep the ebay metrics happy!
Good luck!

FYI
Scan sheets are only generated when you use the bulk shipping option.
If you are printing your labels one at a time no scan sheet will be generated.

Do they have a kiosk ?
They may not scan if they do because if you have a prepaid label then it's more of a self service.
Have you informed them that you need a receipt for your records ? They can't give a receipt without scanning.

File a complaint, or try a different PO if it's convenient for you.
It literally takes a few seconds for the clerks in my PO to scan each of my packages. Compare that to the customers who show up at the counter this time of year with an armful of Christmas presents for their grandkids - but they don't have a box, tape, a label, or any and no clue about how they want to ship.

Don't forget the customers with AMZ returns with the QR code on their phone....
(in plastic bags, or open boxes, or no containers at all etc...)
"I'm sorry, we do not accept those returns, you need to go to the UPS Store...."
but why? and what's a QR Code? (and the back and forth ensues....)

A scan sheet is NOT an acceptance scan for any of the packages on the scan sheet. When you use a scan sheet, the first scan event for every package on the scan sheet will read: "Shipment received, acceptance pending." So until each package receives a scan somewhere along the line, they are not considered accepted and in possession of the post office.

BINGO! Agreed with robbie.......... Ask for a receipt. To generate your receipt for you the clerk will scan your package. Know a few sellers who do this. Personally our local P.O. scans for us with no issue. Good Luck!!

Does not count as accepted for USPS claims.
Does count as accepted for eBay on time shipping metrics.
Whether or not the SCAN sheet is helpful depends what the seller is trying to achieve.

Thank you. I should have worded my post better. They will scan my packages if I stand in line. I was referring to packages I didn't want to wait in line to have scanned. I dropped them in the large cart and usually when I do that they get scanned at the end of the day when they bring the carts to the back to load on the trucks. It's just right now they are so busy that if you drop your box in the cart it probably won't get scanned until it gets to the hub or to the destination city. But, yes, they always give me a scan if I wait in line.

I'm betting if you track now you see some movement.

They aren't refusing to scan. I wasn't clear in my post. I was talking about packages that I drop in the cart in the lobby. If I stand in line they always scan and give me a scan receipt.

The posy office typically never scans packages ever that are simply dropped off at the local PO.
If you want a scan you have to wait in line.
This is how it's operated at literally every PO I've dealt with. If you don't wait in line then your first scan most likely going to happen at the sorting facility.
