Just a heads up. USPS rates for first class going up about 6.5%. UGH. Check the announcements for other rate increases. Happy New Year!

Yep and remember last October November they raised the rate due to the holiday and stated that they would return after the holidays and low and behold nope!

Well then, they better be hiring and keeping their employees with more money coming in. Rather than pay them extra, I am staying with Fed Ex. Interested to see if they will still be offering slow service, lost packages and serving sellers some very angry customers who cant get their stuff on time.

I have used FedEx very little, but there is a drop-off store pretty nearby, and I may need to consider using them more in the future. I gather that you have had good service with them...is that right?

The small holiday surcharge did disappear on December 27 as intended.

Be careful buying FedEx labels through eBay however. Search these threads for the problems sellers have with buying an eBay label and shipping using eBay;s FedEx account.

They keep raising rates and the shipping service is going down hill fast. I am waiting for a package that was shipped priority mail on Dec. 29 and has still not arrived. The tracking number just shows it in transit since Jan.2. Between Ebay constantly changing policy for sellers and the post office constantly raising rates and making the size rate changes who wants to do this anymore?

The USPS doesn’t constantly raise rates. It isn’t easy for them to do so. They change once a year - other than the temp holiday changes.
