Noticed today that shipping labels through ebay now only qualify for $50 instead of $100 free insurance through USPS Priority package. Don't recall being informed of this change by Ebay. I sell fragile items and insurance is a must. Now I will have to eat the extra cost, or refigure my shipping charges. Ebay keeps making it harder and harder for sellers. Business is slow compared to last year. Harder to qualify for top rated status unless you offer free returns. That is not good for all types of businesses.

You can be a TRS seller without having even a single listing qualify for TRS+. The OP lost the added insurance because they are NOT a TRS seller.
The ONLY benefit for a listing being TRS+ is the 10% discount. ALL other benefits for the TRS program is for sellers that qualify to be a TRS seller and again a TRS seller does not have to have a single listing qualifying for TRS+.
It is NOT hard to qualify for TRS if the seller doesn't offer Free Returns. There is NO requirement to offer Free Returns to be eligible for TRS.
I think you may be confusing it with TRS+ which is a listing status, NOT a seller status.
To qualify for TRS+ on your listings, you must meet 3 qualifications.
1. You must be a TRS seller.
2. You must offer 0-1 day handling time.
3. You must offer Free Returns [30 or 60 days w/ seller pays shipping]
