I have an item I purchased that has been shipped by priority mail. It has been 8 days since shipped. Priority mail generally arrives in 3 days from my experience. The tracking shows it is "delayed" and hasn't been updated since the 19th. I'm wondering if it is "lost"? If I message "Item Not Received" to the seller/eBay I will most likely be told to wait etc. My fear is that I will eventually receive the packge and it will be broken. As this is a very fragile item. Can I choose to claim "item not received" and if it arrives broken or damaged can I put in another claim? Just pondering on this for now.

Was it shipped 8 calendar or business days ago? Sometimes, especially at this time of year, Priority takes at least 5 business days to get to its destination. What was the last estimated delivery date?
Yes, you can open an item not received and, once you get it, open an item not as described case as long as you weren't refunded for the INR.

Which is exactly what you'll hear here. ALL carrier systems arer grossly overwhelmed right now by near record volume. It could be late next week before you see that package, maybe later.

During the holidays, priority mail can take a bit longer to arrive due to the sheer volume of mail going through the hubs. You can open an INR a day or two after the estimated delivery date. Good luck to you.

It was shipped on December 15th. It is now the 23rd so it has been five full business days and still no new updates on the tracking.

Not the least bit unusual this time of year. 4-5 days between updates is becoming common.

t's not like you're staring down a deadline to file a claim.
You know what is happening. It is delayed. You know the seller shipped. You know it is in the hands of the post office. You know it is on it's way to you.
Have an egg nog and relax. You aren't gonna get it to move any faster and as long as you're aware of your last day to file a claim, wait.
