Since regional a or b no longer exists, now I have to print in priority mail
He asks me for the weight, and the measurements
When I go to the shipping site, everything is at zero and with the shipping price, for example.

USPS Priority Mail
Buying on eBay saved you $2.78
Total
$9.77
but I have to send it to California and if I put 1 in the weight it increases from 9 with 77 to 12 dollars
the box does not weigh a pound
So I don't understand why without putting the weight mark a price
If I leave it like this without putting the weight, could it be sent?
thank you

The numbers are 'blank' or 'preset' at what you stated because you did NOT provide the dimensions and weight when creating the listing.
'A' and 'B' boxes are now just 'boxes' and MUST be sent Priority (even if under 16oz). Simply input the correct dimension and weight of the box and choose 'priority' on the drop down below (click 'more' as it only shows 3) and ignore anything reqarding 'the buyer chose' (unless you gave more than 1 option- it 'automatically' states that).

You have to enter a weight when purchasing your Priority Mail postage label. If it weighs one pound or less, enter one pound. Priority Mail postage is priced by distance (Zone) so shipping to California will cost more than shipping to a closer location.

The replacement for Regional is discounted Cubic Rate Priority from PirateShip. The trick is lining up box sizes that fit the need in the lowest price tier. For example the Regional Rate "A1" box, while it can go cubic as is, if you can cut the height down a quarter inch it goes into the next lower price tier saving even more money.
Cubic Rate is calculated as follows:
Cubic Box OD = L" x W" x H" / 1728 Round Down all dimensions to lowest quarter inch before calculation, then Round Up the result to the next .1 cubic foot.
Cubic Max OD = 0.500cu ft
Cubic Max Weight = 20#
Cubic Max Length = 18"L
I have started a spread sheet to input my standard and modified box sizes to auto calculate the best price rate, which is often better than Regional, and certainly much better than going to a larger Priority Flat Rate box than needed.
Note there is also Cubic Priority for envelopes and Cubic Parcel Select.

You put in the total weight of the package, not just the box. If your item, packed with bubble, etc and placed inside the box then taped up weighs 3 lb 4 oz then on the listing form (and label purchase page) you would enter either 3 lb 4 oz or round up to 4lb (since USPS rounds up for pricing).
