Hello
Has anyone experienced packages arriving within the 2-8 day window for Parcel Select or is it always longer?
Last few times I brought stuff that was shipped with Parcel Select, its taken 3 weeks to arrive.
Thanks

It used to be common for USPS ground to take 10-14 days and sometimes up to 3 weeks although USPS said 2-9 days. This was especially true for Media Mail. Then it seemed USPS got faster and ground shipments usually delivered by the expected date.
Covid-19 has changed that. USPS announced in April because of Covid-19 expect delays due to shortage of transportation. The sad, sad, bad thing is eBay is still sticking to the delivery times in the listing. They let a buyer open a case the next day past the estimated delivery date.
How I think eBay protects sellers is they wait longer before the buyer is able to escalate the case. It's like 5 days before they get the help button instead of 3 days. BIG WHOOP, they're allowing a couple of days longer for delivery.
During the pandemic a not received case should not be able to be opened until a week after the expected delivery date. That's how eBay could be protecting sellers instead of letting buyers get free items because of delays the seller has no control over.

With parcel select every other mail service gets loaded on to the truck or plane. The remaining space is then filled with parcel select items. The service is kind of like flying using stand by and each step between facilities can have delays. With the delay i mail from Covid the handle time for this service and media mail can be extended depending on where the item is and where it need to go.
Personally I do not use anything less than First Class Package for items under a pound and priority for items over a pound. Shorter handle times means less risk of the item being lost or damaged.

With my eBay discount Priority is always cheaper than Parcel Select so I quit using it because it is so slow and not insured.

Has anyone ever received an item with parcel select earlier than the expected delivery date on usps tracking?
I have an item that was mailed to me using usps parcel select with an expected delivery date this Friday. I'm wondering if it will actually be delivered that day with 4th July coming up

I sent something parcel select on 6/15/2020 and it still shows "in transit to next facility" as a status, after supposedly leaving my post office. I have filed 3 missing mail reports so far, and they keep closing them as "resolved" but there has literally been no movement on my package. Is there hope? Is it lost? Is it stolen? What happens now? I don't have another one and I don't see why I should suffer a financial loss because the post office didn't deliver it. I have tracking and a receipt to prove they received it. Help!
