Hello! my package was mailed on march 9, but since march 10 the only update has been “in transit to next facility” with no time or anything. i discovered that they’re not even scanning my packages and it’s probably automated. what do i do?

With respect to the package mailed on March 9, the most reasonable thing to do is to just wait. Parcel select and media mail packages can sometimes get caught up in the mysterious "transit to next facility" for more than a week ... at times, I've even had a Priority Mail package get into that loop. If you are panicking, you could go to the USPS and ask for assistance.
In the future, the only way to ensure a package is scanned when it is turned over to the USPS is to take it to a post office, wait in line, and get a scan at the counter.
