So I've gotten in the habit of checking up on my tracking numbers several days after shipping them to make sure all is well...I've noticed several of mine in the past month still show as "The seller has provided a tracking number. The tracking status will be updated once the shipment reaches the carrier." when I click the number on my auction. It says the same thing when I go to the USPS site.
I always take my packages to an actual post office (never those outlet places that aren't a real post office) and have the packages weighed/labels made by USPS. I saw the packages labeled and accepted...carrier is NOT awaiting my package. They have had it for several days now. In one case, the buyer already received the item and left feedback, despite tracking saying USPS is still awaiting it. Thus far I have not had any complaints about late packages or item not received, but too much of this nonsense is going to knock my Power Seller status down again like it did a few months ago if I don't have carrier scans.
I have triple checked my tracking numbers...it's not a case of me making typos. Anyone else having this issue and if so, anything I can do about it?

you should ask the local post office.

Make certain the counter person scans the package in while you are at the PO - only takes a second or two adn get a copy of the receipt.

Every single package we send we wait in line to be certain they are scanned. the first and the last scan are the most important scans in the process to avoid shipping metric dings and INR cases.

Seems like an issue you would raise with your local USPS.
