The USPS pretty well got a scam going on. I shipped a package Priority with insurance 200. 2/4/21 and it was lost. USPS customer number stopped working, online claim failed. Buyer is getting money back and still may get item later and I out 200+.

get an intercept on that package now. It may be you can get your item back if it has not already been delivered.

I almost did that but they wanted 15+ dollar charge and I decided to cut my losses after all if they do not find package I wasted more money and no way to recover.

You're not willing to risk $15 to save $200? Strange business decision, but it's your loss.

You are only charged for a successful intercept. It isn’t a risk.

I don't understand why you would post here yet not try to follow the procedures to get your item back or file a claim? It is so easy to do online. USPS 800 number works fine. Call or visit your local PO. Excuses will only get you the same results. I would suggest make an effort. It doesn't hurt. Have a good day.
