UPS tracking saga

So Im an idiot and didnt get receipts when dropping off at UPS store. Dropped a package wednesday, thursday, and Sunday. Buyer made me aware of not in the system. I went to UPS store and they cant help. I found the package that I dropped off on sunday and had the guy scan it and got a receipt. Tuesday, that package still not in system. I go back to UPS store tuesday. He scans my receipt from monday and says its OTW but tracking shows its the wrong address and the receipt tracking number is not the same as my ebay tracking number. My receipt says 8.2 pounds package and online tracking says 1.5 pounds. **bleep**!?!

Moral of the story is not only get receipt but make sure your receipt matches tracking number on your package. Claim wont work, i will have to refund $1000. This hurts. Fck UPS! The UPS store guy accused me of just picking up any package and asking him to scan on Monday. But how can my receipt be 8.2 pounds and online tracking be 1.5!?!?!?!?! Beware UPS!!!

UPS tracking saga

Your story sounds kinda odd to me.

I've done many many drop offs to the UPS store and never not had the Drop off scan in the system within a 15 minutes.

But yes, always request a receipt. They can't print one unless they actually scan it. This goes for the USPS too.

Unlike the USPS though the UPS receipt weight is never accurate. But that has never mattered for me because it always goes based on the prepaid label purchased weight.

Why will you have to refund $1,000?Your highest recent sale is 400 something.  Did you sell one buyer two items, maybe?

And, no, I don't disagree with your statement and thank you for the warning about getting a receipt.

If your buyer does not receive his purchase, you will need to pursue this with UPS.

Sounds like you need to find another drop place for UPS packages.

If the seller purchased the UPS label through eBay then yes that shipping cost is nothing but an estimate and is based on the dims and weights in the eBay listing or what the seller enters when they purchase the label I can't remember I have not purchased labels on eBay in quite some time.

Agree something is odd and there is more to this story.

I'm sorry but that is confusing. If you dropped it off where and how did you find it?

Exactly! Do they just allow someone to look through the packages until they find theirs (or one that looks like it might contain good stuff) ? And didn't it start off as one package, but now it appears to be $1,000 of packages?

I dropped a package off on wednesday, one on thursday, one on sunday. Can you read?

Sounds like an issue with that location. Is there another place nearby you can use? I find Staples to be reliable for UPS drop offs and they have no problem scanning and providing a receipt.
