Is it possible for ebay to have a request pick up link for UPS and or Fedex? For years both companies would pick up my shipments since we are at a technology center with a shared loading dock between a few dozen companies. Over a year ago Fedex stopped doing this. Npow UPS has done the same. In both cases they are requiring us to request a pick up. The reason is they are now charging accounts for this service. (even though their drivers are here multiple times a day). Both companies have told me they consider ebay a second rate company so they refuse to take our shipments. I have already spoken to the conceirge technicians about this and they said they would open a ticket. However it would be great if ebay could negotiate for us. I imagine Ebay does not consider itself "Second Rate". Please let me know if ebay can help? Thanks Chris

Ebay has concierge technicians?

I don't see what the problem is, either call or go online and request a pickup.

Why would a seller need ebay to ask the USPS to pick up packages?

This is for UPS: United Parcel Service. They require a call in now for package pick up. And they require a payment for this service. Since I use ebay to print my labels I do not have an official account so there is no way to charge me. By using ebay to ship I cannot access what actual acount holders with UPS can. So we do not get full service.

I am not ebay, who holds the shipping account so there is no access to make such a request . Ebay itself would neeed to request this. UPS will do this for direct account holders but now they charge a fee for that. Which was not the case in the past. FEDEX Ground also has this policy of fee charging. My Fedex Express shipments have been unaffected.

I have a FedEx account and when I use them for shipping I just go to FedEx.com, request to schedule a pick-up. The truck comes right to my house and picks up any FedEx packages.
Maybe you should create an account and ship from home. They go out the next day instead of same day, but at least you know they will take them. Good luck

You wouldn't have Ebay ask them.
You contact the carrier to ask for a pickup.

Gee, Thanks.

Both FE and UPS have charged for pickups for a long time, unless your company had a large volume of packages, or it was part of your service level agreement with your account.
It is likely that you were getting a service piggy backed on someone else in the location you should have been charged for, and now they are no longer doing it.

One-Time Pickup | UPS - United States
"you can always hand off a pre-labeled package to your UPS driver when they're delivering to your home or place of business."

That is what has changed. The drivers refuse to take them with out a pre-paid pick up.

That is 100% Correct. My point is Ebay is a pretty big account holder for these companies so we should have that pick up service just based on ebay's volume. The fact we do not is because UPS and Fedex do not treat ebay shippers equally. Ebay is a second rate account to them!
