I was just hoping someone could assure me whether my tracking number was a real tracking number or not. It's 18 digits, 2 letters first then 14 numbers then another 2 letters. The first 2 letters are ID. I have grown concerned because I placed this order on April 9th with expected delivery April 19th. I bought it for A spring event ( we are now going to be JULY tomorrow) I contacted the seller again a month ago. I'm trying not to be a pest but just not sure why I can't seem to see anything tracking since APRIL. Do I need to look somewhere else?

I just reordered that item from someone else. But still can't undetstand why this one has taken months and THAT tracking number which I see now is from way back then shows as nothing ...at least as a US tracking number. I don't know China tracking but Regardless...it should have been in US by now and "exist" when I search it.
Because the seller never shipped. And again he’s blowing you off and ignoring the issue because he knows he strung you along past the deadline to file a case with eBay & get your money back.

Why are you still waiting for the item to arrive? It’s been over 30 days since the latest delivery estimate. I hope you paid with PayPal because it’s too late to file an item not received case with eBay. That’s a China post tracking number. Your purchase was probably never shipped if you can’t track it by now. You need to get your money back and buy the item from someone else. The seller isn’t concerned. They know it’s too late for you file a case with eBay and get your money back. You should have filed the INR case back in May, to be honest. So if you paid with PayPal, go file with them NOW and escalate as soon as you can.

I did pay with PayPal. That's all I'll use. I agreed to give him 1 more week. But I agree, I will get it somewhere else because that is the longest I've waited and I've been buying here for years even before I had this account. This is crazy long. I think I waited because this is one of those products that there's multiple variants of and I have received the other kinds I ordered and still do, even did today. It's just THAT ONE which is the best one that seems to not be coming 😕
It's sad, I was going to get others to.
Thank you

what country is your seller shipping from?
assume you are in CANADA?

I am in Massachusetts, USA and the seller is China,China (I just looked through my PayPal orders)

It doesn't matter where you are or where the seller is or why the tracking number shows nothing or whether it's a China tracking id or anything else.
The only thing that matters is that it's a bazillion days past the estimated arrival date, and you waited too long for eBays Money Back Guarantee to do you any good. Just file for a refund with PayPal for an item not received.
Next time, either don't buy from a Chinese seller or don't let the 30-day window of opportunity for filing an "INR" pass.

Most folks know CHina Post which is their USPS/
But there are many regional postal services ,some would offer tracking internal to China and is not trackable to foreigners, unless you know the website.
to qualify for seller protection, seller must present a tracking number viewable online from a commercial carrier.

The last estimated delivery date was May 14. What possible difference could it make, at this point, what website a person uses to track packages from China? All that matters now is that the package was not received by the seller, and s/he needs to file a claim with PayPal to get his/her money refunded.
As far as seller protection goes for this transaction, I think that ship has sailed. [Pun intended.]

I am not saying it makes or does not make any difference,I am just explaining how mail delivery works in another country.
which could explain why her tracking number is so odd.

Yea...I tend to buy A LOT and then just wait it all out. I usually never have any problems other than the fact that the stuff does take a month to 2 sometimes and I do like that it ends up being "surprises" in my mailbox by the time I get them. Lol ..I'm weird. BUT I was thinking and you are absolutely right, this particular seller has strung me along...and is atill trying to. I wasn't going to do anything and WAIT ANOTHER WEEK because that's what I said I would do but WHY, WHY SHOULD I? My stuff isnt even trackable ....months after the fact. That means it was never even sent. I hadn't even didn't about all this until now.
This is also in reply to everyone that's responded and helped.
I didn't care about coming claims here on Ebay or trying to get my money back, that's not what this was about. I was just being naive and believing my &$$#$ was really on its way still ...since he sais he reshipped it but after writing this I realized the dam tracking number is the same one as the original months ago one that was never sent. I'm done with this guy. I am asking HIM for my money back and if not, well I'll just leave an HONEST review. I waited months and never got it.
As far as not selling to other china sellers, I don't order from just any seller - I search around, read reviews, look at past - NOT just their ratings cuz I know a lot are bought - I do my research. I communicate with some (yes, some understand me lol) Summarized - I have quite a few great china and hong kong sellers I buy from regularly). I review honestly. So if I have reviewed a sellers product, that EARNED it. If theres nothing good or bad to say I don't leave a review.
Again, this is not all a response to just you - I read a few responses here and tried to reply all at once. 🙂
Thank you all for your help. I got my answer. I WAS NAIVE....being strung along.
Oh...to the last guy who posted, I'm on my phone so can't see the name now but I remember him saying it doesn't matter where I'm from or the seller - I know that. I was just answering a question from someone else. They thought I was in Canada.

Have you tried tracking without the first 2 characters ID?
07-01-2018 06:36 AM
Lol Yessss....cuz that's worked for me before.
I tried a lot of things. At one point it stated that item may have been removed from being shipped as one of the possible reasons . Through all this, I've realized that this seller took me for a ride. He tried to play me. Never sent it. Its all good. I see a lot more I want too....but going to get it from a different seller. Only 20 cents more
