Tracking items taking longer than not tracking items

Although everything should have tracking I feel items without tracking get to their destination so much faster.

It's a hard decision to make.

I received positive feedback from someone from Germany....item mailed without tracking on November 20th and I assume received on November 27th. That's fast.

I mailed something to Florida on November 10th Priority Mail with tracking and finally got delivered on November 25th and got positive feedback. It seemed my item just kept running around in Florida.

I had the same problem with 2 items with tracking in Virginia that took forever to get to its destination this month.

Now, I mail a lot of items out without tracking all the times and usually my items make it in 3-5 days coast to coast. From the feedback buyers say items were quick to arrive.

This tracking system really slows everything in the mail for me.

I never got anything lost yet in the mail without tracking this year. I had a few buyers claim item was lost after 6 months and 3 months...but I think they were just looking for a quick way to get money.

I just wonder what December brings during the Christmas rush when I have to use tracking for high end purchases.

Same-- I've been consistently seeing Ground Advantage delivery times in the 2-3 day range. The four things I shipped on Friday (all GA) are all out for delivery today.

One explanation for the fast delivery to germany might be that if the item did not have a tracking number, it most likely was not held at the customs for processing, which would take a couple of days. So technically here you are correct, sending an item with tracking would delay the delivery.

Like the other poster, I don't see any unusual delays or long delivery time within USA.

I would have to assume anything sold 'without' tracking is going in an 'envelope' with a stamp...even to another country, it's still just a 'letter' 'envelope' and NOT a 'PACKAGE'...so of course it will get there faster (although you know the negatives of shipping this way).
