I've been trying to figure this topic out for two months. Only half of my items show tracking info. I've learned that they can't scan the item in the post office. It's only tracked if the sorting distribution center scans it. And if they're busy it won't be scanned. The bottom line is you'll never get tracking paying only .93. That's why I mail everything first class and charge the $3.40 for shipping. I've lost money twice because of this system because I could'nt provide tracking. The buyer ends up getting the item and the money because the item will show up later.

The "tracking" uses whats known as an Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB). The IMB is added to envelopes like your credit card bill or other letters you may receive in the mail automatically when they go through the USPS sorting machines. The purpose of the IMB is to sort the mail better to go to the correct address than if the machines tried reading the address each time through the system.
Easyship worked with ebay to create a "tracking" program using the IMB that would update each time your envelope went through a sorting machine. While in theory its a great idea, in reality not every automatic scan is happening or being transmitted to Easyship which is causing the problem. Since this is an Easyship/ebay problem, they are the ones responsible for refunding you. After 30 days you can request a refund here:

I'm not sure why you're paying .93 cents to mail an envelope unless its a 3oz envelope. anything under 1oz is .53 cents, under 2oz is .73 cents and under 3oz is .93 cents. And honestly, with the price of the cards you're selling, I wouldnt ship using the eBay standard envelope. i'd stick to bubble mailers.
Yes, this isnt tracking as we're used to with bubble mailers and packages, but its also a way to have most of our envelopes scanned where before we had zero protection as a seller if an envelope sent first class letter was lost. And the best part? You dont need to use it if you dont want to.
