Standard Shipping Tracking?

Been shipping Items with EBAY standard shipping which has a tracking number, some get tracked by USPS others do not, went to Post Office the other day and was told they would not scan the item, I pointed to the tracking number and they told me that does not matter. Does anyone else have this issue?

The eBay "standard" envelope is scanned at sorting centers but not at Post Offices. It doesn't get a regular acceptance scan nor delivery scan.

the "tracking" is done using the Intelligent Mail Barcode by a computer program that easyship created for ebay to "track" the envelope going through the USPS sorting machines (other companies do this as well... lettertrackpro is one of them)

the good thing is if the envelope gets "lost" you can file a claim for a refund with ebay.
