Did you mean:

Thermal printer to print eBay customer address only.

I've read literally dozens of threads. Here's the situation.

I mail a lot of stuff with no tracking. Currently i print on a normal printer on 8 1/2x11 sheet, then cut the addy off and tape it to the envelope. Regular envelopes, priority etc. Wastes a lot of paper.

Bought a Dymo 450 then come to find out you can't simply print the address only (no return addy, no postage since i use my own) without using outside software to "grab" the address etc. Too many steps involved.

Is there any thermal label printer made that will let me print the address only, with a minimum of clicking, from the print address, invoice, postage print page in the eBay sales awaiting shipment page? Wireless or USB doesn't matter, just that it works simply and easily w/o all the cut and paste, screen grab **bleep** i'm reading about in other help threads? Brand of thermal printer? Don't care about price, just want a quick and simple address label printer to print address for eBay shipments.

Thankyou 🙂

It's not the printer, but that ebay has limited capabilities. Ebay will print address only.  The format will fit nicely on 4" x 6" labels. but includes your return address, as well as the buyer's address, so would need a label printer like the Dymo 4XL.  I tried it on my 4XL and it look nice, but wastes a bigger label than needed.  Unfortunately no way I could find to shrink it to print on the 450, not even on the big 99019 label let alone an address only label.

ShipRush use to have a free USPS label printer that imported from ebay and printed in bulk the small standard address label (30252) on the Dymo 450, with only the buyer's address.  However, that appears to be discontinued, or moved were I couldn't find it and my old download link didn't work.  Would think some other app is around to do this.

The "Address Grabber" app should do this with one or two clicks, but doubt it will do anything in bulk.

Must be another way to do this, but I'd have to think about it.  In the mean time maybe someone else will come along with an idea.

You could of course use one of the third party postage services, that does provide First Class Letter postage without the tracking at the letter rate.   Some would print a complete label to the Dymo 450, using the 99019 labels, and include to/from, and a postage stamp imprint.   Other services, usually need the 4" x 6" label.  The free stamps.com for ebay prints this to 99019, but starts at a $1 for a large envelope/flat.

I guess a lot of this depends on how many labels you need to print.  If a lot, it will be worth looking further for a solution.

I have several Dymo's and love them. Can't you just cut and paste from eBay to the Dymo software? I generate the whole label but this shouldn't be too back for you to do. Just keep 2 windows open, eBay and Dymo app.  Maybe I am not understanding what you want to do. ? Good luck!

If I'm understanding your process correctly, you c/p addresses on a regular 8 x 11 piece of paper, cut them out and tape them onto your envelopes.  You can do this for a thermal printer using the 4 x 6 thermal label space, just print off the label, then cut the addresses out and stick them on.

Hell is empty. And all the devils are here.
