Suggestion for shipping a computer

I'm selling my 27" iMac and want to see if it's worthwhile to do so through eBay. I believe the shipping cost is prohibitive, but I wonder how others get away with charging so little for shipping. I've shopped around and have gotten a wide range in price. I also need to have it boxed. Thanks!

I've shipped iMac's before, it WILL be very costly. I suggest you find a local buyer (can you say CL) for cash.

The last one I sold, I used calculated shipping and someone local bought it and my shipping was cheap (only about 10 miles). Sometimes that works.

The biggest problem with eBay is the SNAD claim. Anyone can claim it and most likely win so you as a seller, have no choice but to pay shipping back or give a partial and the WORLD knows it.
