Standard Envelope and weights

Was very excited to see that Standard envelope shipping released but I've run across a big problem.  The service allows for up to 15 raw cards, but the minimum weight you can put in for a card is 1 oz.  That means by definition, after 3 cards you'll be above the max weight.  Anyone else see this or am I missing something?

The weight limit is 3 ounces. Here's the new Help page:

Sorry, my I guess my initial post wasn't clear enough.  I am aware that the max weight is 3 ounces.  The point is that if the minimum each card can weigh is 1 ounce, then the maximum number of cards you can put in the envelope is 3.  Not 15.

Trading cards weigh less than an ounce, typically .05-.1 ounces.  Ebay needs to allow for weights under an ounce, if they don't buyers will be charged for more than they were before for each order greater than 3 cards.

Or maybe i didn't read carefully.  It's true, calculated shipping won't work for multiple purchases here.  Sellers will have to use flat rate and set up shipping policies, or offer free shipping.

Yeah, unfortunately it isn't the only issue I'm running into.  First order came through with the shipping, no setting to print on the envelope.  Printing to a Rollo to stick on an envelope, not so great.  I'm gonna switch my listings back until the kinks get worked out.  Not the first time my excitement over new functionality has gotten the better my of judgment.

I wish there was a way to submit a ticket that would potentially make it back to developers.  As a former developer myself, I always wanted to know issues, especially from a thoughtful subsection of the user base.

One way to get your thoughts forwarded to the right eBay department is to post your comments in the weekly Community chat. Every Wednesday at 1 PM Pacific time. Generally the Community staff can't provide any direct insight but will promise to forward posters' concerns.

I'm going to include the following disclaimer on my trading card auctions...what do you all think.

"This card is mailed via USPS 1st Class Standard Envelope PWE mail for 50¢ with a tracking number. Cards are mailed in a toploader and one piece of cardboard, anything more will make the envelope thicker than the USPS maximum of 1/4 inch. Combined shipping is not available for trading cards."

I'm not combining shipping because I don't want the envelope to exceed USPS requirements. I'm also charging for shipping so the customer knows what's involved.

I think it's completely unnecessary. Do buyers ever inquire about your exact packaging methods?

If a multiple purchase goes above the  limit for weight or thickness, then send multiple envelopes or upgrade to First Class package depending on which works out best.  The Help page says you can ship "no more than 15" cards, so apparently combined shipping is possible.
