I have split combined orders before through the expedient of just printing multiple labels. Unfortunately this does NOT work correctly if one of the items is media and could be shipped cheaply. What happens is the eBay tools promote the media item to the same level as the non-media item (Priority Mail in this case) . When I try to generate a label for the media item Media Mail is not available in the shipping method drop down.
That sounds confusing. Are you saying both items are eligible for media mail, because it sounds like you are saying one is a non-media item, but you want to purchase two media mail labels?
It sounded to me like they had only one item that was eligible for MM, so the combined package wasn't eligible. Then when they un-combined the items, to ship separately, they were not able to purchase a MM label for the eligible item.
