I recently ordered a roll of bubble wrap from the cheapest supplier I could find who had a good feedback record and generally favorable reviews. I'm not happy with it. The bubbles are flabby; either they weren't properly inflated or they're extremely leaky. The material is so fragile that normal handling pops the bubbles. And the perforations are impossible to see, so the only way to find them is to measure with a ruler (or guess and try to pull them apart, which pops the bubbles).
I'd be happy to pay somewhat more for a better product... but how do I find one? I still don't see anything in my chosen supplier's footprint that should have told me to look elsewhere.
I don't know what eBay's rules are about discussing specific suppliers, but if anyone can make recommendations (and is willing to do so) I'd welcome them.
I bought 240 feet of bubble wrap, 12 inches wide, with 1/2" bubbles and perforations at one-foot intervals. I paid about $27 with free domestic shipping. I'd go up to $34 before I'd start to think about settling for what I got, and I'd probably go higher if I were convinced that I'd have to pay more to do better.

Try Wal-Mart. My local store sells a 150 foot roll for about $16.00. NEVER had a problem with it.

That said, I get my bubble wrap from stores in my location that sell breakable items. In 20 years of selling here, I have never paid for it, and I use a lot of it.

Office Max/Depot has 200' rolls for $23.00 and you get one free if you buy two rolls, ends up costing a little over $15.00 a roll.

I don't buy bubblewrap at all. My packing materials are donated. Everyone I know is aware that I need shipping materials so they give me whatever they have. Now that means that I end up with a bunch of random stuff (much of which is really excellent) but I'm a small seller so it works out and I always have more than I need. I don't mind the few minutes that it takes me to sort and store.
In the past, I have also made friends with several small storeowners in my town. They would call me whenever they got merchandise shipments. I'd go pick up their packing materials and they were happy because they didn't have to take out the trash. Those storeowners aren't in business anymore but I still am, and I'm still using the remnants of their packing leftovers.
There's more than one way to get plenty of good quality bubblewrap.

Is that a special coupon type of deal? I checked my local store online and they don't offer that.
But at that price if they did it is a really good deal.

I work in the shipping/receiving dept of a large corporation. I get all the quality boxes (of all sizes), bubble wrap, peanuts and expanded foam I could ever want for free. We get tons of very expensive lab equipment in regularly. The quality of bubble wrap used by some of those companies is amazing. I weigh 250 pounds and and wear a size 11 shoe. I swear I could stand on some of the bubble wrap we get in without popping it. That reminds me, the back of my Jeep is full of it right now and needs unloaded.

I've been super happy with the competitive pricing my local Menards (hardware chain) offers. I can get 175' for around $12....even found them on sale for $9.99 before!!! Beats the heck out of everyone else in town (big box, shipping stores, etc.). Still doesn't beat free....I need better connections (I'm jealous)!!!

I manage to get by with recycling. That being said, I love Quill. They ship super fast and their phone people are awesome. Polar opposite of you-know-where. If you can get up to >$45 they ship free. You need TP and paper towels, right?
Yikes, they should pay me...

As they say, you get what you pay for, but never more then you pay for. Have you checked Costco or Sam's Club? I make friends easily, so I try to get free shipping material when I can.
