For all the years I've been buying on eBay, I've never encountered a 'Signature Required' warning on an item's shipping / info, before or even after a purchase. I've never sold anything on eBay, so please excuse my ignorance if I'm missing something here. I would think eBay would have a policy or even just suggest to sellers to notify buyers/prospective buyers that a signature will be required. Just a heads up to buyers would take the anxiety away.
Are sellers obliged to notify ? , Do I have to contact the seller every time ? Thanks 😉

Sorry we Mist you. What did you get misted with?
Oh wait did you mean missed?
Signature required should be posted in the listing.
If the item was $750 or more eBay requires signature confirmation.

It's unusual to receive an eBay purchase with Signature Confirmation when eBay does not require it (i.e. it is not required on sales below $750), because it costs the seller an extra $3.70 for that service when buying the postage on-line. (Delivery Confirmation is all that's required on sales below $750, and DC is free.)
So if you bought something of $750 or higher, the seller was required by eBay to add that. Otherwise it's basically a needless expense as well as an added hassle for the buyer if no one is home at delivery time, which is why I don't think you're going to encounter this very often for smaller purchases.
