Started getting this message a few months ago and it has not gone away. It won't ever let me buy a label. I have to go directly to paypal and re-enter all the shipping info. to create the label.
I searched the forums and seems it has something to do with paypal. But the error gives no helpful info. on how to debug further. Is it possible for me to open a ticket with ebay support?

Anyone have an idea? I tried to follow the links to "Contact us" on ebay but get presented with three options. None of these seem helpful. I am not sure how contacting Paypal about an ebay error is going to resolve anything?
Contact us
Other options for you

So I figured out how to contact a live person. You have to first start the "automated assistant" and then type the message agent. Of course, this is not documented , argh!
Next the agent said I got the error because I was buying first class postage for a package with one dimension longer than 22". That is apparently the limit. Why can't a billion dollar company tell me that is the error automatically??
Next, I did some research and seems this 22" limit is bogus. All that matters is the total girth cannot exceed 108"..
So in effect ebay is enforcing an incorrect usps policy AND not providing any helpful error when this "incorrect" policy is violated.. Ironic for a company whose entire business model hinges on shipping stuff out!

This happens to me all the time, but mostly with orders I'm trying to ship using eBay International Delivery Services. It's been going on for months - I've contacted eBay about it several times, but haven't received a response that offered any explanation or anticipated resolution.
On international orders, I just print a label from eBay using USPS FCM International - if it's over $100, I use USPS Priority Mail International. If it's a domestic order, I use pirateship.com. If there's is a significant cost difference, I contact the buyer and ask if they want to pay the difference or cancel the order.
I've had to ship at least 15 orders this way since this "technical issue" started - almost all arrived on time with no issues. I did have one order that I had to refund because it's stuck in customs, but I that's not unusual.
