Sold a high value item o the buyer overseas.
According to tracking, item is in their country and cleared customs on 16th
Today is 24'th, buyer opened "not received" case because estimated delivery date is 16th.
How many days do i have before the buyer is able to ask ebay to step in and force me to pay refund instead of waiting for tracking to update ?
What are my chances of getting screwed by Global Shipping Program and loose my item and money and getting a negative feedback ?
Do you guys sell anything of high price to overseas buyers or try to avoid it in general ?
I sell for years but mostly to the US buyers and rarely anything expensive so i dont have much experience really.
Any feedback is appreciated.

The Global Shipping Program is self insured up to a certain amount but if they lost track of the package they are suppose to reimburse the buyer.
The Global Shipping Program makes your items available to more than 60 million buyers worldwide. You're protected from negative / neutral feedback, and have control over which items you want to ship through the program.
Send your eligible item to our domestic shipping center, and once it reaches us, your job is done: We'll manage the international shipping and customs process for you.
Besides making your items available worldwide, there are a number of benefits to using the Global Shipping Program:

Have you sold much before overseas? Always add handling time to try & cover for any extended delivery time. Regardless of value, the overseas postal services are all the same. I find that virtually all their postal systems alone are inefficient depending upon the level of governmental control or corruption in it. Have had deliveries go well over 2 months beyond ebays arbitrary dates. That said, Global Shipping Program is designed & operated by the same entity & has access to data on levels we do not. Unless the item is lost for good, they have the best chance to verify if it is in motion still.
As previously stated, that program does assume liability in most cases once they take possession. You should be in most cases ok with money as the program directly refunds buyers. Feedback is at the mercy of a buyers experience & the words they use. best you can do is be there for the buyer & make sure they receive your commitment to completing your portion of the transaction.
