Software that cannot be activated

I bought software (used) recently, and until installing it, was unaware that I would not be able to register it because I wasn't given the serial number.  I found out the SN is  sent to the original buyer via email from the software company.  I have emailed the seller I bought it from with no response, so far.  How long do I wait for a reply, or should I request a refund?  The software gives a 10 day trial without activation- hardly enough time for the purpose of it, which is learning a language.

Re: Software that cannot be activated

I would give it no more than 3-4 days total for a response.  After that, open a case for being defective, because you can't use it without the code.

Re: Software that cannot be activated

Just open a SNAD case if you don't get an answer in a reasonable amount of time.
