Simplifying Shipping Signals on eBay??

Ebay has absolutely no control over delivery dates. So they're making false promises to buyers at the seller's expense. This will anger buyers even more now that shipping times are far from constant.
This ingenious idea of saying "Free x day shipping” instead of "Fast and Free" is crazy.

When I buy something online I estimate it will be a few days to a week and forget about it. But if it say's "Free 3 day shipping" then I expect it in 3 days and if it comes a week later it's going to tick me off. They won't blame Ebay or the post office, they'll blame the seller.

Yes and they often do blame the Seller.

When you look at your listing, e-Bay has auto-inserted your zip code to show you the 3 days.

Try typing in a different zip code out of State and it should show what a potential Buyer sees.

I understand that. I'm talking about the new policy yesterday. 07/09/2021

Community info > What's New > eBay’s new shipping signals have already improved conversion rates and made it easier for your buyers to know when your items will arrive.

They are trying to be like Amazon, but they have their own delivery service. If an item is arriving late Amazon messages you to say "sorry, it's running late" so the buyer sees it's from Amazon.
Does Ebay message the buyer that it will be late?
