Hi, I sold an item. Buyer wrote to me & asked me to ship it to another address, because they moved. I know do not send it to that address. I wrote back & explained why I can not do this. Also I told them they could cancel the order, fix Pay Pal address then buy it again when all is good. I have not received any message back. If they moved, they should have a forwarding address listed with the USPS. I am thinking then go ahead & ship the item. Am I thinking correctly? Thanks for your ideas!! Stay safe everyone 💖

I guess it's up to you. I have this problem regularly and mail to the address they give me. At least twice a month and have had no problems to date. People are mostly honest. If it is real expensive I would cancel first but I find the buyer doesn't buy an item twice. If you mail to his old address people are right you won't lose out because tracking will show it arrived but the buyer is out of luck. Usually it would be forwarded but there are many reasons that would not be the case with that individual and his circumstance.

You are thinking correctly. Any change of address eBay does not have your back.

you are NOT thinking correctly; do NOT rely in mail forwarding. Cancel and tell them to fix address.

Are you sure it is the buyer who messaged you? Make sure the user name is the same and it's not someone else trying to redirect the package.
Though if it's the $4 coffee pot, probably not much chance of a scam.

Hi, It was a carpel tunnel brace. I cancelled the sale. I just always have E-bay know, & talk with them to tell me how to deal with it. Then I have it in writing what they said to me. " If you mail to his old address people are right you won't lose out because tracking will show it arrived but the buyer is out of luck." Someone wrote this & I do not want to take the chance that the buyer did not get it. Thank you all!!!! Please stay safe 💖
