Haven't sold or bought anything for 3 years on eBay. Just started selling again. Sold a $50 necklace and buyer asked me to change the shipping label from L56L7 to 15617. His address shows up as 15617 on the eBay order details page so I thought he corrected it. When the label printed it read L56L7. I'm not going to alter the USPS printed label. Sent a message for him to change address to exactly where it goes. Am I going to need to refund him and start over? Why does address print letters when his address is correct on order details?

Yes; void label; then click 'cancel' on the left side drop down; then refund.
Tell buyer to correct their address and re-purchase.

Hi @auntginnyj
This sounds like it might be a legitimate request from an older person who was in the habit of using the ‘lowercase letter L’ for the number ONE. [That’s what was done on manual typewriters.]
I don’t see any harm in changing an L to a 1 … but wait to hear from other responders.

Not sure that would work. The parcel is routed based on the bar code on the label, which will refer to the original address.

I don't see any harm in it either.
