Is it legal or is it not for eBay to charge taxes on shipping? When I go to the post office I don't pay taxes. When I purchase posted online I don't pay taxes. Not only do they charge taxes but it's how the greedy son of a gun go about doing it in my humble opinion that is. They don't just charge taxes on the postage individually, they first added to the item cost then charge taxes. And I don't see how that legal no way form or fashion though I may be wrong I'm still **bleep** about it. eBay has gotten so greedy they don't care about you they don't care about me all they care about is lying in their pocket with a Almighty green dollar. They are as corrupt any politician.

eBay does not charge sales tax when sellers purchase shipping labels.
Are you referring to sales tax on shipping & handling when making a purchase as a buyer? That's completely different.
eBay follows state laws regarding sales tax. Many states charge sales tax on shipping & handling.
View this page to see where your state lands on the topic:

If you oppose the law, contact your state representatives.

If you're talking about as a buyer, Ebay doesn't charge sales tax on the shipping, it's your state that does.
If you think it's illegal, talk to your state reps.

Taxes are not on the shipping labels. BTW if you are buying labels at the post office you are paying a lot more for your shipping. Taxes on sales made, or purchases made is due to the law.

'buying labels at the post office'...I think you mean postage for shipping an item at the post office.
'paying a lot more for your shipping'...not me...I pay less...just bought 40 forever International stamps for $49.47with tax and shipping ...those are worth $1.65 each...these really help when I need tracking on a package.
So with my free domestic shipping...the eBay fee is only on the item and not the item plus shipping.

"Is it legal or is it not for eBay to charge taxes on shipping?"
Yes, it is absolutely, completely legal for eBay to charge sales taxes on shipping.
In fact, it is more than simply legal.
eBay is required to charge sales taxes on shipping WHEN . . . .
. . . . those sales taxes are required by the laws of the state into which an eBay purchase is shipped.
I don't see any corruption . . . . . . .

eBay only collects that Tax as directed by State Law.
You question should be is it legal or not for the State to charge taxes on shipping.
As long as the State is charging the same tax to individuals who purchase the same product in-state then their tax would be ok. If the state is only charging the tax to in-state residents who purchase from outside the state then it may not be legal.
Unless the State is charging the tax to everyone who purchases the services, I think if this was ever challenged in Court the tax would go away.
