Shipping service error: Package weight is over the weight limit for service

When I go to list an item, it defaults to USPS First Class shipping. The item weighs more than 1 pound, but when I switch it to Priority Mail or Parcel, it keeps generating an error:

"Looks like something is missing. Please fix any issues and try again.

Shipping service"

The shipping service will still say Priority or Parcel, but when I go to list it, it errors out and reverts back to First Class. Any suggestions on how to resolve this??

Maybe you have checked off "letter" or "large envelope" in the menu for package type?  Does the listing go through if you change the weight to just 3 ounces? If so, what price does it show?

  I'm having the exact same problem as of yesterday evening. I spent an hour on chat help trying to resolve it. I was told it must be a glitch, and would be forwarded to the tech department.

I'm having the same issue.  If the weight goes over 1 lb it won't list the item at all and gives the "something is missing" message.  When I keep the weight under 1 lb AND change the shipping to Priority, Parcel Select Ground, etc., it will list the item but only as USPS First Class.
