The shipping prices have become outrageous since the last time I was here. I'm trying to buy a used room heater, but the shipping is nearly as much as the cost of the item for nearly every option! For example, the heater I want is $32, but the shipping is $25. That's not right. That would mean I should just buy a new heater on Amazon. Also, I don't have the money to buy that expensive of a heater. That's why I came here.

Shipping charges have gone up a lot last few years.

The price of the item has zero to do with the cost of shipping.
Everything has gone up. Food, gas, taxes....
Shipping prices have been raised once or twice a year by every shipping company.

Perhaps you should look in local areas, will save you on shipping.

As tough as it is for buyers that don't want to pay or can't afford to pay current shipping rates, it's just as tough on sellers that see a sales decline because shipping is pricing their items out of the market. We're all feeling it @hotaruuruki .

"Also, I don't have the money to buy that expensive of a heater. That's why I came here."
Many potential buyers assume that everything on eBay is being sold at cut-rate prices.
And most of them are misinformed.
Perhaps you should be shopping at garage sales or flea markets.

If the heater was $57 and free shipping would you buy it?

No. Still too expensive.

Carriers are working like mafia, looting sellers and get paid on our tax money.

Given the approximate weight and size of an average space heater, $25 sounds in line with what it would actually cost to ship an item like that. I'm not seeing how that's "not right."

Well 25.00 won't ship much today. Have you checked local stores and home centers?

Then the buyer and ebay wants sellers to offer free shipping.
