Shipping payment

It's been quite some time since I've sold on eBay. I do price my items competitively. I always kept it straightforward and simple for me and having the buyer pay shipping. I no shipping costs vary greatly depending where the package is being mailed to and how much the item weighs. I do not know why I am being charged for shipping. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can change this if it is a settings option?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Shipping payment

If you list an item and want the customer to pay for the shipping (actual) than you need to enter the dimensions and weight of the item you are selling once boxed up to be shipped. If not you may get a shipping charge for the balance of the shipping due. If you choose a flat shipping rate for each listing, you can decide the method of shipping but if it is off, you still will be charged any difference. If it is over (shipping is less than fixed shipping) than you can decide to refund the difference to the customer or not. Either way, Ebay will assess a percentage fee on shipping charges as well, regardless of who is paying for the shipping. This usually offsets (somewhat) with the shipping discount you do receive from buying labels directly from Ebay.

Shipping payment

The buyer pays you for the shipping, then you pay for the shipping label with those funds.

@pinkti35

Every seller is charged for shipping. I looked at your two current listings and see that you are first getting the shipping funds  from your buyers.

Granted, shipping is the toughest job to master when selling online. I ship using USPS exclusively. If the package is under 15.9 oz. (and not oversized), I use First Class. If the package is over 1#, I use Priority.

I'd recommend buying a scale and laying in different shipping supplies. You'll catch on to what works best for you.
