Shipping options

Hi, been off Ebay for awhile, just getting readjusted to the idiocy of how, this once great selling platform, has been run into the ground by the morons now running it.  I had a simple issue with shipping options on their "draft" page.  It seems there is no longer an option for shipping with a USPS " small " flat rate box ???  Only medium and large .... and when I called  (non) support they had not a clue....not even sure they know that there is a USPS SMALL FLAT RATE BOX !!  I had hoped it was simply my error from not selling for awhile and adjusting to the "new?" format.   Unless someone can enlighten me on how to work through this issue I guess I'll be only using the Ebay shipping service when I ship MEDIUM or LARGE Priority Mail !!???

Shipping options

Hi @sangamovan . When package dimensions entered on the listing form exceed eBay's programmed dimensions, eBay will not show you those shipping options when setting up your listing. To access these services, enter the following package dimensions:

  • USPS Priority Flat Rate Envelopes: 12x9x1
  • USPS Priority Small Flat Rate Box: 8x5x1
  • USPS Priority Med Flat Rate Box: 14x12x3 or 11x8x6
  • USPS Priority Large Flat Rate Box: 12x12x6
  • eBay Standard Envelope: max weight 3 oz / dim 11x6x1 (actual thickness of physical envelope cannot exceed 1/4" and it must be flexible)
  • USPS First Class Letter (untracked): max weight 3.5 oz / dim 11.5x6x0.25 (if not flexible, it will be subject to a non-machinable surcharge)
  • USPS First Class Large Envelope/Flat (untracked): max weight 13oz / dim 15x12x0.75 (must be flexible & of uniform thickness)

@sangamovan

The dimensions may be the issue.

try changing the dimensions.

Shipping options

Ebay has to protect against sellers who are morons or thieves by removing shipping rates which are not valid because of package sizes.

It is not the quality of the site which has declined, the ability of USPS to detect postage underpayment has increased, and the quality of the sellers has not improved. To avoid buyer inconvenience Ebay has to make it harder for the seller to underpay postage.
