Shipping labels not correct format

Hi, I was trying to make a shipping label for an item I sold today, I have a Dymo label-writer 4xl that prints on 4x6 labels. No matter what option I choose during purchasing the label, it always gives it to me in 8.5x11 format. I tried 3 times on 2 different browers and selected the 4x6, even the PNG image option, but it always gives it to me in an unusable format for my dymo printer(8.5x11 style). Anyone else have this problem recently? I cant use paypal shipping as they dont support my dymo printer.

can you save it to a PDF file then print it from there?

There's another work around when it gets stupid but I've forgotten it since my thermal printer broke last year.

I hate photobucket right now... PS Answers given years ago may or may not be current now, please check with current posters to the boards to see if the information is still relevant.

Are you choosing the label size on the printer itself or on the Order Details page when you are ready to print the label after you have purchased.  If you are choosing on the printer, try this instead.  Go to the order details page once the item is paid for.  On the very left side of the page under Order Details scroll down through the Ship From/Return To, then Ship To, then you will see Buyer ID, selected shipping and under that a small light box with 8 1/2" x 11"  PDF....you can click on Change and it brings up a screen Label Printing Instructions view for PDF and PNG.  Click on the 4 x 6 and make sure the box with "Add Receipt and Instructions" is unchecked.  See if that works.  I would leave in PDF mode.

Shipping labels not correct format

I have a Rollo printer that prints labels on 4x6 label paper only as well. One site I sell on ocassionally only allows 8.2x11 format paper, so basically a regular printer. No matter what I have tried, downloading other apps on my computer, changing format, sizing, etc. Nothing works since that particular site does not have any other option except for regular printers. Kicker is .. they email the labels to you whether you do free shipping or plus shipping and if I was to just go to post office and buy a label there I am losing the shipping money from the site that was already paid for. Very frustrating. That site also does not support paypal at all so I can't use it. Money only goes thru my bank acct. I am a little worried about this with ebay now that we won't be able to use paypal anymore starting in July. I am riding it out until last minute. And as for the other site goes, I can't sell on there anymore because I have no where to print the labels since it won't take my 4x6 rollo printer. I was going to library two blocks away but since those are closed too for past couple months i am SOL.
I hope someone else may have an option they can help you with for using your Dymo printer on ebay. I wish i had answer, but I have tried everything, and I mean everything even the apps for windows 10 some people on the boards here told me to try. NOthing works.

Shipping labels not correct format

I love my thermal printer and the price worked out cheaper than buying a regular printer, paper and ink cartridges that run out constantly. My husband and I worked the numbers and the rollo thermal printer made the best sense financially and I only need a printer for printing labels. No reason to have the printer I had before. I threw it out since I got sick of paying for ink, then cutting the labels out and then using more tape to tape them on.
I really hope someone knows a work around, because the labels I would get my email for other site are PDF and no matter what I tried and took others advice nothing worked.

It does give it to me in pdf, but its printed sideways and on a format meant for a 8.5x11 sheet. It prints out too small and the wrong direction, or if I rotate the image its off left to right and prints all messed up. I used to use it this was  no problem untill today.

Shipping labels not correct format

This is a recent glitch where the label format fails to set correctly on some user's accounts, and is starting to affect more and more users.  This has been reported to ebay and we are waiting a response.

The current workaround is to use ebay's bulk label printer, even for just a single label, or use PayPal shipping.
