Ever try to print a shipping label from a PDF and it only prints on the top half or quarter of the page? I have had this problem a few times and scoured the Internet trying to find out why. I even called Ebay a few times in the past with no luck. Well I finally found the issue, at least with my computer, and thought I'd pass that info on to someone else.
The problem is with the print settings in my browser. I am using FireFox. To make a PDF file, I selet "File, Print" and then chose PDF instead of the printer (which was the default). Before doing anything else, click on the "Properties" tab, then go to the "Layout" tab and hit "Advanced". I did this and found that my default setting for "Scaling" was set to 25%! Not sure how that happened, but changing it back to 100% solved the problem for me.
I should note that on my browser.. and pretty much from anywhere on my computer, since I made that fix, every time I try to print anything, it defaults now to Adobe PDF instead of my printer. In other words, even if I open a PDF file and try to print it, it defaults to asking me to save it as another PDF, but I am okay with that because I'd rather just select the printer when I am ready to print than have the headaches of it printing the wrong size.
