I do not understand why buyers blame sellers for shipping damage and never seem willing to file an insurance claim with USPS.

Sellers are responsible for getting the item to the buyer in the condition stated in the listing.
Insurance claims are for the seller, not the buyer.

For one, sellers don't always package things properly. Not saying that is the case here, but it happens quite often. This can also lead to a denied claim.
Two, it is not the buyer's responsibility to file the claim. That is the seller's job.

Buyers do not need insurance because they have the ebay money back guarantee to cover the purchase. Since it is for a limited amount of time, there is no need for them to mess with attempting to get a refund through a carrier. Plus, they aren't the ones that packed the items. I would be quite annoyed if I purchased something that arrived damaged and the seller told me to deal with the postal service.
Sorry, I just now saw your feedback number, so with your experience I'm sure I didn't tell you anything you didn't already know.

Is it possible USPS throws your box in a Train and the box is jarred 100k times before the arrival destination. Does USPS even use Trains? A Semi Truck is also a Jarring experience. Nothing is stacked anymore. The boxes fall off like Onions on a Conveyer Belt

FedEX and UPS recipients probably have their own horror stories as well.
Basically, you should pack your shipments securely enough that you would be willing to throw your package down your own flight of stairs.
