While attempting to add an additional international shipping service to my listing I got the following message:
"International shipping - ShippingService cannot be revised if the item has bid or active Best Offers or is ending in 12 hours."
The former condition has been met (there's both a bid and an active best offer) and I get that it's not fair, because the current bidders might have made different offers had I presented the additional (cheaper, in this case) shipping service to begin with. What's goofy is that when I attempt to revise the listing, the UI allows me to add the service but subsequent input fields (for adding weight and package dimension, for instance) are disabled. Wondering if this is some glitch or just a programming quirk?

I've never had any luck revising a listing once there's a bid on it. Don't think it's a glitch.

Thanks. I guess I was wondering if it was a glitch or quirky programming that allow the user to add the new service but not type weight and dimensions in the fields below that. It seems like instead of enabling or disabling fields (apparently at random) and then later presenting the user with a dialogue at the end essentially stating "haha. jokes on you, you actually can't revise anything at all now due to eBay policy x, y, or z" -- the revision link should be disabled entirely at that point.

As far as I know, if the item has a bid or there is an open offer, you can't make any changes to the listing.
