I brought an MDM locked iPad on July 18, the iPad delivered on August 2 with the Global Shipping Program from the US to Taiwan.
when I received the iPad, there was an undisclosed iCloud lock, and I immediately filed an "item not as described case". after some chatting with the seller, he quoted his listing which says "No returns" , and I contacted eBay and was told to wait until August 8, since the seller cant print a shipping label through global shipping.
The problem is that I'm leaving Taiwan back to the US at August 08 (have the plane ticket to prove it), and I decided to bring the item with me, but it took longer for me to arrive back into the US, which the return windows close at August 09.
eBay is still showing the item as "Return Started" and I can still mark it as shipped, but this info says "Be sure to send it back by Aug 09. If you don't, we might close your return and there's a chance you won't get a refund. The seller's responsible for return shipping charges, so you can ask for a return shipping label.", and the seller is not replying about the label.
Since I'm out of the August 09 return date, and the purchase was not done through Paypal (no buyers guarantee), am I just gonna take this as a loss?

The seller decided to cooperate and took the item back with refund, although I'm sure he could've refused it.
Either way, I'm taking up around $20 in import taxes.

I was just sent a return label, is it still safe for me to ship the item?

Aug 8 plus a 5-day hold is Aug 13. Is it a return label that can be shipped from US, and didn't the label come with instructions and a new expiration date?

That's not right: Pitney Bowes automatically refunds their program fees whenever the seller refunds their portion of your payments. The payments are tied together.
