I had a problem with my phone ebay app and did not receive 4 notifications. I ordered labels as soon as I saw the sells. Problem is one buyer, sent me an email and said they put the wrong address on the order. I had already paid for the label, but had not mailed the item. After researching what to do. I thought the best thing to do was to "Cancel" the order. How do I get to recover my shipping expense? Did I just loose that money?

I would cancel the order due to an "address" problem. I would block the buyer from future purchases.
As far as I know if a shipping label is not used you do not "eventually" get charged...meaning a refund sometime in the future come in your way if you had been charged....other members might know more about the "shipping expense".

For USPS label you need to go to your "shipping labels" (on the left over from your orders) to "request to void" the label. That must be done within 120 hours of purchase.
To be sure that it is not used , you will not be refunded for 2-3 weeks
There is no automatic refund of an unused USPS label.

Thanks for response. The buyer seems to have a postive rating. Do I still Block them?

Thank you so much. I requested to Void the label. Should I block the Buyer. They are showing a Positive rating?

I cancelled the order. Where can I view that Cancellation? I couldn't find where it was cancelled.

I personally would not block a buyer that made a mistake and let me know so I would not lose money. You can relist and tell them to purchase again and be sure to enter the correct address with their payment.
