Shipping Label Options

Is anyone else having issues with not having the option to print a Parcel Select shipping label? I'm only shown the Priority and more expensive options in my "Print your shipping label" drop down menu. The buyer chose and paid for Parcel Select. I can't afford to upgrade to something that wasn't paid for and these items won't fit in the flat price envelopes or containers.

eBay has decided to phase out access to Parcel Select Ground labels, even though USPS has made no changes in their services or policies, and it's offered by all other online postage sellers including PayPal, endicia, stamps.com, etc. You can purchase Parcel Select Ground postage through PayPal at

But do compare prices before you do that. For Zones 1 - 4, the USPS online price for Priority Mail is literally 10 cents more than Parcel Select Ground, and for Zones 5 - 8 the difference is less than a dollar. If you're a TRS you get a 3% discount when purchasing Priority labels through eBay, which makes it cheaper than Parcel Select.

IMHO Parcel Select ground should only be offered when necessary such as for hazmat or Oversize packages (i.e., length-plus-girth above the Priority limit of 108 inches).

Well... that's just GREAT! I offered that option on my listings and the buyer chose it. So what do I do now other than go in the hole for shipping?

And, I don't understand what "TRS" means.

Besides, if they allowed me to put that option on my listings, they ought to honor it. They need to change the template for listings to reflect their arbitrary decision!!

What are the details of your package?  I completely stopped offering that shipping method after USPS included it in the dimensional cost increase.

And where does eBay tell us these changes? Certainly not when I listed items over the last month or so and selected Parcel Select Ground as shipping method.   I am well aware of the possible slight price advantage or slight cost sometimes of moving up to priority, I choose to list as PSG and make my choice at shipping time.

But my point here is this... is this another change that the only way people learn of it is when they have a problem?  eBay seems to dispense their info all over the map.  I read every "Announcement". Yet always finding these things out many times ready forums etc.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I would have thought there would be some indication when I selected PSG as late a a week ago for listings. I don't have that many listings out there now, my 2nd ID sells other stuff mostly 1st class at this time, but there has to be people put there with hundreds and thousands of listings with PSG selected. 

LOL rant over.   ... well, not quite. I'm trying to stay off PayPal since eBay has a beef with it and no telling what other restrictions will be imposed in the future.

I'm not aware of eBay having any "beef" with PayPal. I's a valid option if you want to purchase Parcel Select Ground postage.

After MONTHS of complaints popping up regularly about Parcel Select Ground not showing up for shipping labels, an eBay member finally mentioned the phase-out plan. There certainly was no helpful announcement.  You can see the comment in post #15 in this thread:

I remember reading that ebay removed that option.  You can always go someplace else to print your label (Pirateship is good and can be linked to eBay) and/or manually insert the tracking number into the eBay order.
