I recently sold an item, and I’m now printing the shipping label. When I click purchase, I get the message, Shipping Label, Invalid State. I’d like to ship it as soon as possible, so any help would be great.
Thanks.

What letters appear in the space for the state?

Constant problems with the eBay shipping labels is one reason why I quit relying on just ONE tool for printing shipping labels. I figure why be held up when one tech doesn't work when I can have a second one at my beck & call?
So I signed up for PirateShip.com. Can't beat the "free" price, it has label discounts equal to or less than eBay labels and on Priority Mail they offer free $100 worth of insurance, whereas eBay only gives $50 insurance unless you are a TRS.
So I can import eBay sales with a click and then once the label is purchased, it automagically imports the info into eBay's sales record! No muss no fuss!

Is the destination OH or 0H where the second is ZeroH.
i don't know how that can happen.
you enter state by drop down menu.
puerto rico can get invalid state.
i agree with having a back up.
there is a validation with USPS.
ebay has it on strict, while another provider it may have no issue.

Since the code for Ohio is in fact OH then how about a strange idea:
Maybe you have misspelled the name of the city. Or you a trying to use a local regional or colloquial name the post office does not approve of. So when the computer tries to match up the city name with the state of Ohio it can not find a match so it defaults to "wrong state"
?????????
Go to www.usps.com, select find ZIP code and enter the information. It might auto-correct for you.

Is the address exactly what USPS shows? Sometimes cities and communities use names other than what their city name is and that could be causing an issue.
If nothing works, try PayPal.com/shipnow. They let you enter the address and seldom have such issues.

I just tried to print an eBay label, shipping from CA to CA and just got the same Invalid State error. A little bit of a waste of time and an inconvenience.

I switched to my PC (and was using Google’s Chrome browser) and it worked great. I was never able to get the shipping label to print from my iPad. I left feedback, as such, for eBay (error codes need improvement).

I just had this same problem and fixed it. For me it was a weird “bug” with the phone app. The moment that I tried printing the label from my laptop and not my iPhone, it worked just fine.

Question was never answered.
Why doesn’t EBay answer this question?
Is this just a place where the user asks a question and another user can guess at an answer?
Where can I actually get the CORRECT answer?
Well, sometimes the “correct” answer can not be divined because the poster does not provide all the information.
For example, the two previous posters point out that
1) it worked on my PC but not my iPad
2) it worked on my laptop but not my iPhone
Therefore the problem seems to be primarily with the device, and only secondarily with eBay’s program.
What device was the OP using?
Some time ago a poster complained that they were trying to send something to Puerto Rico and it would not print. That had the right city, PR as the state abbreviation and the right ZIP code. But they neglected to say, and it took several messages for them to finally tell us, that they had the country listed as Puerto Rico - when of course it should have been USA.
That is why we sometimes have to guess at an answer. And probably why eBay does not jump in at every chance.

I have tried on the app on my phone, the internet browser on my phone, and on two different computers so I’m also still looking for a solution. It doesn’t seem like the issue is the device because no matter what device I try on it still brings up the same error message. (Mine is WI to KY if that matters at all)

I’m getting the same message but only from my iPad 7, just bought it. It’s done it now for 3 labels. Crazy part it will print from my iPhone and lap top, just not iPad. Has to be some sort of setting. All addresses are legit again for me this is only happening on iPad.
