Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has encountered any issues with shipping label charges today. Tonight (about 30 minutes ago), I went to print a label and instead of deducting funds from the available balance the charge was directed to PayPal. I received an email from Paypal regarding the label charge and logged into my account to make sure the message was legit, which it was. I have not used PayPal for several years now. Is this a new glitch? Thanks for any responses.

When you purchase the label there is the option near the bottom of the page on whether you want the money taken from Paypal or from your available funds. It sounds like your choice got switched, I've heard of that happening before. Next time you print a label you can switch it and it will hopefully stick this time.

When you don’t have funds available or pending when printing labels then the funds will be taken via PayPal from your bank account.
Or you clicked PayPal accidentally when you were paying for your label.

Wouldn't that happen only if PP was designated for 'other sellers costs'? Since my monthly store fee often comes from my designated credit card I would think that if there were not enough funds for a label that they would also come from that source. That's just a guess of course.

Thanks for all the responses. As some have suggested, it is very likely that I accidentally selected PayPal for the method of funding. I always use the your funds option for purchasing shipping labels. Maybe when I was scrolling up and down on the ship your order page the radio buttons in the select how you pay section got changed. I have not printed a label since last night, but apparently the how you pay radio button is automatically set to the last option that was used.

I can tell you from experience. I have my seller costs set to hit a CC. I have my PayPal wallet set with my 'Preferred method while shopping online' to be my checking account.
So when I hit PayPal (while buying a label online), it comes from my bank.
With all that being said, I prefer to take my labels' cost from my Pending Funds. I happen to take the minute to scroll down and make sure it hasn't 'glitched' since the last time I used it... because it has before. (Usually, it defaults and sticks, though.) Whatever works, you know??
