Shipping Info Received (China Post)

I have a parcel (phone), coming from China, shipping to Ontario, Canada. The Seller sent the parcel on July 2, 2017 using China Post. He gave me a tracking number aswell. I tried to track this number on multiple occasions, and zilch, no info. And the ebay tracker also states that the parcel is still in the "Shipping Info Recieved" phase for over 6 business days. Shouldn't the package atleast be in transit by now?

The expected delivery is July 17, 2017 <to> August 23, 2017.

I have a person waiting for the phone, whom does not seem to have the virtue of patience.

Re: Shipping Info Received (China Post)

There's nothing you can do until after August 23, 2017.

In the future: DON'T BUY FROM CHINA.

Re: Shipping Info Received (China Post)

You should have seen the estimated delivery dates before even purchasing.  All you have to do is click on shipping details and you will see how long it may take to reach you.

On July 2 when you purchased you should have seen it was going to take a LONG time before you may receive it.  Now there is nothing you can do until after the August date has passed if you don't receive anything.

A lot of sellers will have that long of a delivery time in hopes you will forget you ever bought it.  At my age I probably would forget.

Re: Shipping Info Received (China Post)

My apologies, but I do not forget, especially when I have 3 people on my a$$ badgering me,

and it was a top rated seller with a 100000+ feedback score and a 97.5% rating...

in what way is this answer related to tracking information?

Depends on IF you ever get it and, if you do, that it's as described.

100,000 feedback with a 97.5% rating is pretty bad~~that makes for a whole lot of negative transactions.

Agreed.

I wouldn't even consider a seller from China (and the rest of SE Asia) unless:

-- they have at least 500 f/b (and preferrably at least 1000)

-- they have at least an overall 99.5% rating

-- they have at least a recent 99.8% rating

I have been buying from South Korea recently.

They have met the above criteria.

All has been satisfactory.

Re: Shipping Info Received (China Post)

My personal experience from China sellers when tracking reads, "Information received", is that sellers from China send the information for the package but do not actually send the package out. They do this so you cannot cancel or dispute an order, and because it takes so long until you actually receive it, they know that usually the buyer won't want to wait for a cancellation, replacement, etc., because time wise, most will just accept what they received.
When the tracking information does show movement, it is because the seller has finally sent out the package. Some China sellers will wait a week or two before they actually send your package out to the shipping company. I find it very peculiar that once your package actually shows movement, within just a few days, your package is delivered. Of course, it sat in limbo for a couple weeks. I have not doubt at all, this is why China Post shipping takes so long: because the shipper takes their sweet time getting it out the door!!

Re: Shipping Info Received (China Post)

When the estimated delivery dates are for a date range, for example: delivered between August 5th and September 15th, there is no actual set delivery day for you to expect your package. I know I prefer up to the minute tracking details when I have spent my hard earned money on something. I do not understand why the tracking information is so vague when shipping from China. Do they not have access to the same technology as the US?

You already know that the tracking information does not have to move ... ever.

The "phone" merely has to arrive by August 23, 2017.

After that, if it's not as described, you'll be riding [sic] another chapter.

Better to shop at the local distributors for Chinese products, like Walmart and AutoZone.

Re: Shipping Info Received (China Post)

Have you received your phone?

If not, it might help to go to China Post's own tracking which will tell you if there is movement in China.  http://www.ems.com.cn/english.html

When it gets to Canada (or US etc) it's tracked by that country.

There are drop shippers in China, and that might be what is going on in your situation. They do not have the inventory on hand and are waiting for it to be shipped by the supplier. They print the shipping label before they get that inventory and that's why you'll get a message "shipping info received", because China Post knows they have a label printed for a package coming to you and notifies you.

Nope. Its ebay that sets the delivery time though. Not the seller.
