Hello everyone?, I just sold and shipped an item by USPS. When the money was sent to e-bay it had the cost of shipping. It was $5.15 for shipping by the post office. Where do they get that number. My item weighed 20lbs and cost $29.90 to ship to PA. Thats a $15 difference. What is going on??

Shipping cost is based on two things-the box size and the weight. That and the shipping method.
Now, what weight and box size did you put in the listing? Because clearly it was not correct or the amount would have been more. It's important that you know those numbers and enter them correctly-Or shipping costs you an extra $ 15 you did not ask for.

When you set up a listing, there is a section where you tell eBay what to charge for shipping. It has default information pre-filled based on eBay's best guess which is based on category averages. It's up to you to correct this with information based on your actual package dimensions and weight.

you set up your shipping on the item as First Class shipping.
That only goes to 15 oz.
So thats what your buyer paid.
You need to set up shipping correctly. Size of box and weight for each item you list.
If you dont you will continue to have to pay extra for shipping.

The power tank, the only option you had in the listing was First Class.
Did you enter the correct weight and dimensions in the listing?
