Hi, got two questions. Just sold a used camera with two batteries. I can't remember if I'm supposed to leave a battery inside the camera, or package them both separately. I'm supposed to send package via USPS.
And if anyone knows, would the above answer differ if this package is to be shipped to EIS address in Illinois for forwarding? I had forgotten I signed up for EIS years ago. The buyer, first time buyer, is in South Korea. Not sure if package is forwarded as shipped, or EIS opens and repackages.
TIA for the assist.

Where is the camera being shipped to? If it is within the US you must ship ground lithium batteries cannot be shipped by air. USPS ground advantage or other ground service is the only way you can ship. If you're planning on shipping the camera internationally you can without the batteries.
Lithium batteries are considered hazardous material and can't be shipped by air.

The offer to sell was with a camera with two batteries. I had no idea an international buyer would buy it. I can ship USPS Ground, no issue, as the EIS is in Illinois, but they (that Ebay service that it looks like you may not know), will be reshipping to South Korea. Is there anyway to contact Ebay directly to ask about this?

I would just ship it to eBay and not overthink it.

You're giving the OP bad advice.
You really should cancel the transaction.
This is in eBay's International shipping policy:
Due to export limitations and restrictions, items listed in the following categories also can't be shipped with eBay International Shipping. This is not an exhaustive list and it may be updated based on transportation regulations and export laws.

The first bold doesn't apply to this situation.
The second one most likely doesn't apply to this situation.

Thank you all ! I managed to get in touch with an Ebay rep. I have three options according to the rep: (a) I can go ahead and ship but not with an Ebay shipping label, (didn't ask but I assume that I could ship directly to buyer), OR (b) offer a discount for not sending these two well used up batteries, OR (c) cancel transaction. I decided to offer a small discount and see if he/she answers in 24-48 hours. Otherwise I will go ahead and cancel. Buyer also a first-time buyer and international, makes me a little bit more than nervous too 🙂

What is prohibited and may not be mailed internationally or to, from, or between APO, FPO, or DPO locations?
The fact that it is going to Illinois initially does not change the fact that ultimately it is going internationally.
So the answer would seem to be no - never -
